The Pays de Langres Tourist Office is a 1901 law association which was called the ‘Syndicat d'Initiative’ in 1908. In 1909, the first tourist guide of the time was printed by Martin-Berret (guide made by Ch. Royer & Truchot, photos by Tallon & Veyssière): 1st ‘luxury’ edition, 50 ex.) In 1917-1918 a 24 page French/English guide with 1 map in the centre was printed. It was sold for 1 franc 50 centimes for US troops. During this same period, an entirely English guide was edited for the US troops.
